How many times do you sweep the floor before mopping it?

So, when cleaning the kitchen, how many times do you sweep the floor before doing the final mop?

  • I sweep once and then I use a Floormate. I really really hate mops.

  • Usually once, but sometimes twice however I use swiffers which is broom/mop all in one. It depends on how much dog hair is clinging to the floor. Usually, I end up giving a good sweep AFTER the mop for any leftovers, instead of using another swiffer pad.

  • I sweep first into little piles cause I hate sweeping the piles all over the floor, then grab a damp rag like DeeMarie and grab up what I can't ge with the dust pan, after that I mop.

  • I just sweep once before mopping. My 5 year old likes to run the Shark floor sweeper vacuum thingie, so he's actually been keeping the floors pretty clean lately.

  • sweep
    then swiffer
    then mop

I sweep first because of stuff like leaves that are tracked in, then the swiffer for the finer stuff.
