  • Not only talk and read and point out, but, when you give her a cup, tell her "say cup, say cup" and do it for a bit before you hand the cup. She will start saying it just to get you to hand over the dang cup. LOL Stuff like that had my son talking way early and a lot. He got pissed at me.

  • Everyone has already given great advice. So I'll just let you know that when my first DD was 2 she spoke very few words. But not long after her second birthday she started learning them really fast. Next thing I knew she wouldn't shut up. LOL...She has a wonderful vocabulary now. She is 6 1/2 years old now. I feel kids work at different things at different speeds. meaning my oldest was physically ahead (she crawled, walked, etc...faster than all my other girls) but verbally she started learning later than all my other girls. My second daughter learned to walk later than my first and she learned her words much quicker than her older sister. My third daughter learned a lot of words very early and she learned to walk much later than my other girls.
