  • 8pm firm year round. My kids still sleep for 12 hours at ages 6 and 7. They are extremely grumpy in the morning if I let them stay up even though in the summer I let them sleep as long as they want. I will let them stay up late on special occasions such as a visitor, going to the movies, or the fair.

  • Nope, no bed time here. They go to bed when we do, or when the are ready.

  • at 3 she goes to bed at her dad's, I think he pretty much lets her stay up as long as she wants.

  • Teenager - during school 9-9:30 / summer - whenever

    3 yr old - 9-9:30pm
    2 yr old twins - 8-8:30

  • No. They home schooled and went to bed when tired year round. The youngest had to go to bed if it was dark out and he was being wild or irritating anyone. He only did this a couple of times because he didn't like going to bed alone in the room he shared with his brothers. All we would have to say was, "it's dark out", and he would calm down.

  • My son is 10, and during school it is 9:00 PM.
During the summer it is usually before 10:00 PM, but when he has company I let them stay up and play as late as they want as long as there are not plans for the next morning.

  • Mine is only 2, so no early school mornings here (other than the fact that it's also summer). He goes to bed at 10. We prefer it that way so he'll sleep in later, too. I'm not a morning person so it fits with our schedule better, at least for now! I'm sure things will change when he has to be up early every day.
