  • Its more likely an upset stomach. Teething is noted by excessive drooling and chewing on things.

  • lots of drooling, biting down on anything, fussy, not wanting to eat and sometimes bleeding swollen gums.

  • My son is teething right now too (he's 5, almost 6 months old). His signs have been lots of drool (he has to wear a bib on some days), constantly sticking his hands/feet/ anything he can get his hands on into his mouth, mild crankiness during nursing (i.e. he pulls away and cries, but then latches right back on).... etc.....
I have found, for us personally, that a cool teether helps (the kind you can place in the fridge or freezer). Also, we love the baby orajel toothpaste with gum massager and cooling cucumber orajel for pain.

  • my daughters tooth just popped up yesterday...she had the symptoms of slobbering and chewing... but then she was spitting up her formula and food and had diarea why she was teething... so it might be! it depends!
