  • LOL I used to with my sons. I would steam califlower until it was very soft and add it to the mashed potatoes...they never knew. I did it until they were

  • smoothies! red pepper, carrot and squash are all good ones for nutrients and blending with fruit. I use broccoli, too, but you have to use a banana and can't add too much broccoli or the bitterness comes through.

another good tip I've heard is to put shredded veggies into lasagne or other casseroles.

  • Nope, I can actually bribe her into eating more of her main course be telling her she can have more veggies! She's only 2 so I don't know if it will stick or not, bu she's always been a little veggie monster :) Oh and she loves bell peppers, she'll eat them like apples lol.

  • Thankfully my dd5 eats tons of fruit and veggies, but my ds3, not so much. Just yesterday I made some zucchini muffins, it had tons of zucchini, I threw in a few bananas and some apple sauce. Told the kids they were banana muffins with magic green spots, they devoured them =) Will definitely try that type of thing more often....

  • Not exactly "sneaking" them, but I find the non-veggie eater will eat more veggies if he has something to dip them in.

  • My kids are not that picky. They have had their moments though. For soups or stew I would cook the veggies till soft the use my hand blender to puree them. I also would use the solids left over from juicing in meat loaf or sauce.

  • I sneak extra veggies into my kids food. They aren't oicky but I like to add them any way. I will add mashed carrots to meat loaf, mashed cauliflower to Mashed potatoes, puree peas to hamburgers, kale to smoothies, spinach to meatballs...The list goes on.

  • I do pureed cauliflower in mashed potatoes and mach and cheese, carrots go into anything with a tomoato base, like sauce, tacos or chili. Sweet potatoes or carrots into fruit smoothies. I usually keep a bnch of purees in my freezer and just add them in wherever I find an opportunity.
