When weaning from formula

Did you ever wonder if your toddler was getting enough calories, and vitamins, etc?

  • YES I worry about this a lot. lol. I bought ensure and gave them that for several months after weaning.

  • Never occurred to me either! He was a great eater of everything else. Their nutritional needs change as they grow as well which slows their needs to calories (I was amazed when my son lost weight between his 15 and 18 month checkup and my doctor told me that's exactly what's suppose to happen!). I wouldn't worry about it unless your doctor is concerned.

  • Well, I never really 'weaned'. I just stopped giving it at one year old(the ones I didn't EBF, I mean). lol They got plenty of calories- I just fed them normal meals, they got milk and juice(rarely- we don't like much juice around here) and water, and they ate(and STILL eat) like horses :)
