  • he only calls me mom when he is talking to the kids and referring to me such as "we need to ask mom first" and he NEVER calls me his ol lady! I really dislike that term it just doenst seem very respectful.

  • wtf? lol.
My DH has never called me his mother... those are fighting words in this house, dammit! :P
And he's never called me his "ole lady" either. Oh lord.

  • No, lol, he doesn't. He calls me "babe" most of the time. Or if he REALLY wants something, he calls me "Sugarpop". I don't really know what a SugarPop is, but apparently he thinks it's something good, lol.

  • ugh! I know what you mean! I hate it

though I did have to make him call me Mommy at least while the kids where awake. My son did not call me mommy until he was 2! He just called me Evie because that's what he heard all the time LOL

  • I imagine some guy in a wife beaters undershirt, all sweaty and gross. chewing and spitting on tobacco, with a brewski in his hand at 8am. Oh heck no!

  • Sometimes my hubby calls me ole woman but only as a joke lol. He watched this episode of the twilight zone where they called each other ole man and ole woman & thought it was funny. He calls me mommy when he's talking to our LO but not if he's talking directly to me.

  • I think New Yorkers started the "Ma" phase, most guys I know from up north say "hey ma" or "what up ma". They're not calling you Mom its just slang. Kind of like how Puerto Rican men call women Mommy.
