  • I am deaf in my right ear. I would much rather be deaf than blind. If you are deaf you can buy a hearing aid. If you are blind you can't see anything, and there is nothing to change that.

  • DEAF!!!

I'm a sign language Interpreter so I have Deaf friends and my family also knows some (since I have Deaf friends). My DH took ASL 1 with me and then I continued on to become an interpreter. So it wouldn't be hard on my family either. My children will know ASL as they grow (my 18 month signs waaaay more than he says already).

  • I am already going blind so I would much rather be deaf not so much of a loss of independance that way. I haqve been a singlemom over 30 years and I hate that I am losing my vision. I cant go as many places as I want and I have become so dependant it bothers me. I have already had surgery and I pray it helps.. I miss my independance.

  • Deaf! I may not be able to hear any more, but I know ASL, and can still "talk" but to never see my babies faces again! I couldn't do it! I would go crazy! My nephew is blind, and he HATES it! He always begs to know what things look like, but how do you describe green to some one who has never seen it!?
