do people with a lazy eye know they have a lazy eye??

  • Yeah, I am guessing if they ever looked in a mirror, they saw it. That is almost like do short people know they are short. :-)

  • My DH has a "lazy eye" and yeah, he knows it. It messes with his vision...

  • 'lazy eye' if left untreated becomes Amblyopia. Permanent damage to the muscles can occur. If left untreated long enough vision can deteriorate to legal blindness in the effected eye. I have no vision in my left eye due to this disease. The stares, looks and whispers from unkind people pushed me to have a muscle tie in surgery. It did not restore vision, only straightens the eye so it looks the direction the other eye looks.
