What fruit do YOU think is the "fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil"?

It's traditionally represented as an apple, but really, what fruit do YOU think got Adam and Eve in trouble?

  • Given the tradition of the pomegranate in the Greek/Roman Mythos, and the Greek/Roman influence on the Hebraic tradition I also find it highly believable that it was a pomegranate. Although I don't believe it matters, because I don't believe the Garden story is meant to be taken literally, but is instead meant to introduce us into the Divine narrative, and explain the human condition, etc. I believe its more metaphor/allegory than literal history, but that's just me, and digging into the question deeper than I think was intended, lol. :)

  • I do not believe it was a fruit we have today. This was a special tree, of which there was ONLY one! It is not a tree we would have around today.
