  • I wouldn't touch the stuff. Instead try stevia. We buy flavored stevia drops in carbonated water to replace soda. Flavors I have right now is orange, root beer, and vanilla cream.
Aspartame accounts for over 75 percent of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA. Many of these reactions are very serious including seizures and death.(1) A few of the 90 different documented symptoms listed in the report as being caused by aspartame include: Headaches/migraines, dizziness, seizures, nausea, numbness, muscle spasms, weight gain, rashes, depression, fatigue, irritability, tachycardia, insomnia, vision problems, hearing loss, heart palpitations, breathing difficulties, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, loss of taste, tinnitus, vertigo, memory loss, and joint pain. http://www.mercola.com/article/aspartame/dangers.htm

  • It's easy enough to stay away from artificial sweeteners so I don't eat anything with them, why risk it? All natural is the way to go!

  • You should do some research for yourself. I personally won't touch the stuff, nor allow my children to have anything with aspartame in it.

  • I very rarely touch that stuff. Once in a while I'll have a diet coke but that's it. Once in a blue moon it's OK to have a little but I wouldn't make a habit of it.

  • It also stimulates your appetite, so if you're using it to lose weight, you're shooting yourself in the foot.
