  • We normally kept up with vaccines for our cats, but we stopped vaxing the 2 elderly ones a couple of years ago. I just didn't see the point--they're old and more fragile and they never, ever go outside. My 2 younger ones have had their rabies and other standard vaxes within the last year, but I will probably stop doing that as they age.

  • I selectively immunize just like I did with my kids.

  • I have decided i will only get my cat her vaccines when i decide we live somewhere safe enough to let her outside. Right now, she is not allowed outside so she receives no vaccines. But eventually i hope to let her out, but first, she will get the vaccines.

  • I keep up with their vaccines. I have 3 cats...and just acquired some poor little kittens thrown out by the side of the road, and I am going to give them their shots and try to find them homes. You never know what your pets may get or come in contact with.

  • When we lived in an apartment we kept up with the shots that they had to have to live in the apartment, but now that we live in our own house we only take them to the vet when they need to go.

  • My two kitties were from shelters, so they got their first years vaccinations. Moving forward, I do not plan on vaxing them. As for vet checks, we will go every two years, as needed.

  • We are a vaccine free home. Unless they are seriously injured or have some kind of illness that I can't figure out, our pets never go to the vet... Just like with my kids.
