When given Pitocin at about seven in the morning and your already Dilated 2 centimeters, how long do you think before active labor kicks in?

  • I got started on pitocin at 8am w/my 1st son and had him at 2:10pm and w/my 2nd I was started at 11am and had my son at 6:55pm. So it all depends if your cervix is favorable and thinned out. Then on some women it does the opposite it slows labor down. So there is really no answer every person it works different on. Goodluck!

  • If your baby really is not ready then it might be a very long time before you go into active labor.

  • When I got potassium it was around 10am and I had my baby about 8pm. This was my one just one of my children.

  • I ended up with a c section with that happening. I never dialated anymore, even after 10 hours.

  • I was given potossin at 12pm the 14th and it took until 1238 tge4 16th no way to relly tell try walkng ithey will let you.

  • well morning, she is going in at seven to be induced. Long day and probably night, I hope she doesnt have a c section.

  • lol they gave it to me 6 am and told me that baby would come around dinner time. i was upset cuz i was starving. lmao baby came just before noon.

  • I had pitocin at 8 am; and never dilated at all! But I was 37 weeks and preeclamptic, so I had a cesction. She turns 2 next week!
