  • my youngest is 3 now, but when she was 8 months, she wasn't getting anything else. she didn't start solids till 9 months, and at that point she was eating table food. same thing will happen with this next one.

  • banana chunks, applesauce, toast, crackers with little/no salt, yobaby(yogurt), cheese chunks, oatmeal, Cheerios, and more! Babies don't like a ton of flavor at this age because their tastebuds are young. Start with bland and gradually he or she will eat pizza like the rest of us!

  • Mine will eat whatever you let her. Tonight Mil was holding her and eating a hamburger. Isabell grabbed Mil's arm and pulled the burger to her mouth. Luckily she couldn't get any. She gets baby food sometimes but mostly I still give her just breastmilk.

  • My baby was primaily breastmilk but sampld everything table food except meat, grain, dairy. So blueberries, parsnips pear,, apple, sweet potato, butternut squash, avocado, broccili, beans, peas, carrots, peach, kiwi, apricots, etc etc. Guacamole, hummus, and 3 bean chili. We mealshare; no isolated mealtime. That jar stuff is overcooked, bland, textureless, and overpriced. Food brfore was is for fun and experience not nutrition. baby food is neither. She self feeds for the most part (no teeth) though i do load up a regular spoon and give it to her or guide it sometimes though usually I just let her have at it. Hands on experience is messy but fun.

Purees are unnecessary and don't encourage tongue anipulation. Babies tend to gag more when purees are spoonfed because the haven't ha the chance to explore self limits.
