question about diy pickles...

can I use regular salt or does it have it be pickling salt?

  • It has to be non-iodized salt. Also, the actual amount of salt in a cup of table salt is different from the amount in pickling salt, which is a finer grind. You can probably find a conversion chart to get the right amount of salt, but it has to be non-iodized.
