what does it mean when someone is arrested w/ "3rd degree" charges?

just curious!

  • Pretty much what Blainesmommy09 said. For example, a local business man was arrested and charged with First degree child cruelty and 3rd degree child degree. He had pushed his wife down while she was holding a child (1st degree) and the other child was in the home at the time (3rd degree). Depending on the situations and how many charges there are and what the charges are, a lot of 3rd degree charges are dropped.
