  • I've never bought worms, but we do dig into our compost pile for worms to use for fishing because it is FULL of them!

  • A regular compost pile gets too hot for worms to survive and they'll just dig out the bottom if it's not screened. If you want to do worm composting, look up "vermiculture". You can get special bins and instructions and buy the really good worms for composting with. Worm composting is great for doing in the house - no trekking outside to the pile to turn it or add scraps to it.
