Would it be ok to trim my dog's coat with regular hair trimmers?

  • I guess you can try it. I'm not really sure what the difference would be. I would suggest to just do a small area to see how it looks first.

  • Yes but thier hair tends to be a little harder on trimmers so if you use them for you family or something I'd probably just get another trimmer for the dog, so you aren't ruining yours...

  • I've always used my hubby's trimmer on my dogs as well. It works fine. It's a cheap battery operated $5 one that is mass produced for Christmas. Used the same one for 6 years now.

  • One of my dogs have long thick hair and every time I use clippers they get jammed up. I use regular scissors to trim the hair back and then use clippers to clean it up.
