  • All of these are for looking at specific genes to see if there are any mutations in the DNA of the individual. Different mutations of specific genes can cause specific birth defects, diseases & syndromes. Sometimes the tests are done to find a diagnosis and sometimes they're done to confirm a clinical diagnosis.
