  • By the time they are teens they are old enough to buy them, I can't see any reason why they couldn't lite them.

  • I handled and my son has handled them since we were around 9 or 10 without supervision. We were taught safety and handling very early on.

  • Yeah, I thought I could until last New Year's my 15 y.o. DD had a friend sleep over. They woke up the next morning and friend saw what she thought was a dead firecracker on the kitchen counter. (Why was it there in the first place?) For some reason she decided to light it--in the kitchen. Needless to say, it wasn't dead. Fortunately all that was hurt was a piece of my ceramic floor tile.

No, we're done with fireworks around here.

  • It is illegal in my state, but even if it was legal, absolutely not.

  • No. We don't handle fireworks beyond sparklers. It's illegal to since we don't live in the county.

  • No one in my family has ever "handled" fireworks. If we want to view them we attend a public display.

  • Sparklers only until age 16. Maybe something that "bangs" after that. I'm afraid of matches so I don't use them unless i ABSOLUTELY HAVE to. My DH is a "pyromaniac". He loves lighting the woodstove, the trash barrel, or burning brush. NOT ME!
