Moving for the first time!

ok so we found this house that we've been approved to rent and im so excited because the only time I've moved was to this dinky apartment. But now we've accumulated sofas and mattresses, tvs and a bunch of stuff. whats the best way to move efficiently without breaking the bank? any tips would be awesome!

  • Rent a U-Haul or find a friend with a pickup truck. Get boxes at the liquor store or grocery store. Ask friends to help and feed them pizza and beer.

  • i did it without a u haul. i borrowed a trailer to hitch on the back of my truck. If the person expects a payback, we paid them back with beer, so you can do items or money but preferable items since it wont be such a fight on how much you wanna give them.

  • I agree about renting a U-Haul and making sure you offer food to friends who help. Have a variety of beverages in case they don't like alcohol. If you have any friends that will let you borrow a big vehicle go for that first though! =)
