  • I make mine by browning white rice in oil then adding a can of tomato sauce, water, and granulated chicken bouillon cubes. Cover and simmer on low.

  • white rice + jar of salsa while cooking works well or even a packet of taco seasoning will do the trick.

  • brown the dry rice in a deep saute pan/pot and add finely chopped onions. cooke the onions a bit then add tomato paste and water so the pot fills up with water about an inch above the rice. add garlic salt and set at med/low heat with a lid on for about 30 min or until the rice is done and it's soaked up all the water. This is how my mom makes it!
    We usually make it when we have enchiladas! yum!

  • I buy the Uncle Ben's Mexican Rice. So what ever comes in the box is what I use, lol.
