Is there anyone else having problems deciding what to do first around your home? We need to replace a small section of our fence (so the dog won't escape), replace all of the railroad ties, all of the windows (because they no longer open), and the front door. I am sure that there is more but it hurts my dh's wallet too much to figure out what else needs to be fixed or replaced. The windows are at the top of the list. Talk about a money pit.....

  • we have a list that we add to as needed for things we want to do and things we have to do, i keep an approx cost listed next to it and we do what we can when we can, i also have them listed in order of importance. outside fo the things you have no choice to do such as a water heater that goes out, you have to just pick a project each month and budget a det amount of money to go towards it. If we have something big we know we are going ot do DH will work overtime so we have the extra to cover the cost.
