  • The best help is to learn the cause of your depression and deal with that. Hint: Ask yourself what makes you angry. Also ask yourself with whom you are angry and have not yet told that person of your anger. Anger is an emotion that when unexpressed causes depression. More is caused by that than by chemical imbalance. Sometimes, we are angry about situations; sometimes we are angry with people. Emotions buried alive never die, so it is better to find them, get them out into the open, and then move on to a happy life.

  • if you are meaning herbal remedies and the like then st johns wart is said to help, but if it is that bad i'd definately take the docs suggestions if that means anti-depressants

  • St John Worts tea during the day, and some catnip or other calming herb at night for some nice sleep.
Exercise, like a short walk even helps.

But the is is natural care,it will take time, but most times works faster than drugs.

Studies show that herbs have a higher chance of working than manufactured drugs.

Talk to your pharmacist if you take other meds.

I used these during preganancy and during breast feeding also.

  • Do you exercise regularly? I do not suffer from depression, but I find that regular exercise improves how I feel better than anything else. I don't know that it would be a cure, but it might help.

  • Im sorry i forgot to mention, nothing cures depression but a good diet and excercise. If its a chemical imbalance you may look into the vitamins, fruits and veggies with vitamin B(s).

Dont let Docs fool you into being a druggie. Many people get depression from bad eating habits.
