  • I think smoking around kids no matter if they are in the car, yard, house, etc should be banned.

  • No. That is just giving away another freedom to those who would take it. Years ago, when I was a child, just about every man smoked. He smoked in the house, in the car, wherever he wanted to. There was less sickness, less asthma, less allergies, less birth defects than there are today. So I think it's been made a scapegoat and is just another excuse to take away more freedoms and make more laws governing our personal lives. If you think it's a bad idea, then don't smoke around your children. Tell your friends you think it's a bad idea, and tell them your reasons. But don't make another law that limits freedom in this country.

  • It's banned in VA and I think it should be. It's not safe or healthy to smoke around children, period. They are innocent to what the adult is doing and won't question or object to it. I'm relieved that people are finally taking a stand and setting laws in place to speak up for those that can't speak up for themselves.
