How long does it take you to finally read through an entire book?

I have always been an avid reader. There was a time when I could read two or three books in a day! Of course..this was PRE-CHILDREN,lol.
Now, with the kids..I'm lucky to get through one in two weeks, lol.
Oh well. Just glad the library lets ya renew online now,LOL.
How long does it take you?

  • If I really like the book 1 to 3 days. If I MUST read it, such as for a class, it may take longer if the topic is not of interest.

  • Depends on how big the book is. Usually no longer than a week.

  • Depends on the length, but the average 300 pg book can be done in a day, 2 if I'm busy. I just finished a book a little over 1k pages and it took me a week with it being a holiday and having so many family get togethers.

  • I can read a book in 1 or 2 days, but I usually spread one out over a week because we are very busy.

  • If I really love it then it will take me a week. My rear end can't take more than about 100 pages a day! LOL

  • When I first read the Harry Potter books, I read the first three books in a day a piece. If it's a leisurely read it could take me longer. If I'm reading a book with my dh, it can take up to a month to finish a book. (Mainly because it's hard to find time to read together.)

  • When Ki was in school, I could finish a 500 page book before she got home. Now that she's home all day, it takes me two days to read the same book. I'm a fast reader though. I still go through 3-6 books a week, usually between 250-500 pages each.
