  • Never had candy and tons of sweets around. Maybe had cookies once in awhile. Had plenty of fruit and pretzels too.

  • i dont allow my 3yr old son any sweets/chocolate etc: during the week. he gets his special treats at the weekend. if he has too much he complains of his face being itchy so i cut it out during the week. if we are in a shop and he wants something i tell him to get a piece of fruit and he doesnt mind at all.

  • As long as they are getting a balanced diet, getting their fruits and veggies in, protein and grains, I have no problem with them getting some treats. People go overboard when it comes to how much sugar their kids are getting and yet have no problem with taking them to McDonalds and other fast food places. I just went to a conference and learned that doctors are doing blood work on two year olds and seeing cholesterol concerns they have with adults! Everything in moderation.
