any ideas for 1st birthday party?

with the heat being over 100 this week, im not sure about having a bday party on 8/1 outside in my yard (w/no pool)..inside of my house is too small for everyone..prob about 20 guests. I really dont want to go to a restaurant (i want something fun), but am having brain freeze..anyh ideas???

  • Whatever you do keep it simple the baby won't remember it . just take pictures to remember the day.

  • You can get a pool for all the kids, if it's in your budget and just do a simple Bar-B-Q with hot dogs and burgers and chips. If it's that hot you can tell everyone it's a pool party or do water balloons and water guns.

  • Can you do the party early ? Like an early brunch before it gets too hot, then break out the icecream or popsicles and cake with lemonade at the end. You could get a kiddie pool and let your baby sit in it to keep cool.
    The most important thing is to celebrate the wonderful event and get lots of pictures.
