ever been "caught" by your kids?

I think my dd "caught" us the other day...not really sure but she had a weird shocked look on her face, didn't say anything though... do you think we scarred her for life???

  • My son walked in but we were under the covers. HE must have had a bad dream. He didn't seen anything but the blankets thank goodness.

  • Once when my oldest was about 2 years old, he saw us. We were standing up, fully naked, no hiding. He was half asleep though.

  • Yeah. We locked the door but it didn't latch all the way. She freaked out! Told us "I hope you take the no baby medicine on tv and dad has the bon-bon (condom) because I don't really want a sister! I don't want to share my toys or my room or my dog!".
Nothing more awkward than getting a BC talk from my 5 year old!
No, you didn't scar her for life. If she asks about it, just answer her questions.
I kind of wished she didn't know about sex when she caught us, it would have been a lot easier to say we were wrestling! But, she knows so we just got the BC talk. :-)

  • Yep, both times they weren't fully awake and needed to use the bathroom so they didn't really see anything. Neither have asked anything. Something funny, DH caught his parents about 6 years ago, it was so funny when he came out of the house with that shocked look on his face! I've always wondered if our kids had that same look on their faces.
