My 50th birthday is this month. I reminded my children about it, so they would not forget. It is now less then a week away, and nothing from either child about their plans for that weekend.
I have resigned myself to buying my own gift, as I do every year. What would you buy for yourself if you had to buy your own birthday gift? I just go new living room furniture last week, got a great buy on a bed in a bag set which included the window drapes, too. I have plenty of knick knacks, perfume, makeup and clothing. I want a fun gift, something not an every day gift. I was thinking of having a few older jewelry pieces made into one very nice ring and pendant.
So, what would you buy yourself a gift, nothing practical but a fun and not an every day thing I buy.

Take a cruise.
I'm keeping my fingers cross that your children come up with something.
