Do let ur oldest do this?

what age would u let ur child walk a block and a half to drug store? or park myself my oldest is 11 soon to ne 12

  • If he goes with a group of friends and then given a set time limit I think thats fine.I wouldn't let him go alone. Thats just how I am though.

  • Yes, if i knew the walk was a safe one, i would let him go with a friend or a brother or sister.

  • I just don't like the idea of any child walking alone, and the kids I hear about disappearing were a lot ot times just walking a short distance. Just too many creeps out there, I would say no, not alone.

  • My daughter has just started letting my grandson do this he will be 12 in September. So I think if it's only 1-2 blocks away and he knows all the ins and outs of stranger danger I would let him go.

  • With a group of friends in the daytime, I would say 12 is ok for awhile, but I have DD's and we don't live in the greatest neighborhood, so I limit there time walking around. The local carryout is about it. I drive them everywhere else.
