  • Gentle hints are great for gifts but I do expect him to remember things like which is my fav restaurant. Things that aren't surprises should be remembered

  • It's called communication. Some things are a no-brainer. others require discussion. We share so many of the same likes though, that it is a fairly safe assumption that whatever we do for one another will be a hit- and even if it's not, it is appreciated simply because the thought counts.

  • At first I had to tell him what I wanted and what I liked, but I think after being together for 3 years.. I don't have to tell him anything because he figures it out himself. He's a great gift giver! ;)

  • We've been married almost 27 years and I still drop hints occasionally. BUT, he does a very good job on his own even IF I don't hint at him.

  • He's not a mind reader ... how is he supposed to know if you don't tell him?

  • Yes. He has never picked anything out that I haven't liked. He has always been able to make me the envy of my friends all on his own.
