I need a recipe using 3 egg yolks! Any ideas?

I made a cake that called for 3 egg whites and I have no idea how to use the leftover egg yolks! Any suggestions?

  • make a custard to go into the cake!
    2/3 c sugar
    1/4 c flour
    1 1/2 c milk
    3 egg yolks
    1TB butter
    1 tsp vanilla
    mix everything but the butter and vanilla in a sauce pan and heat until thickened. take off the heat once thickened and add the butter and vanilla and stir it in!

  • Make pudding.

    3c milk
    1/3c Sugar
    1/4c flour
    1t vanilla
    2T butter
    3 egg yolks

    Over med heat, whisk milk, flour & sugar. Cook, stirring constantly until bubbly.
    Temper eggs (slowly whisk one cup of hot mixture into the beaten egg yolks), add back to the pot, cook over med until it bubbles.
    remove from heat, whisk in vanilla & butter.
    Cool

  • Make pudding with them. Use 3/4 c. sugar, 3 T. cornstarch or 1/3 c. flour, 2 c. milk, and 1 tsp. vanilla. Mix your dry ingredients together in a saucepan, gradually add the milk, and cook over medium heat until it begins to thicken. Stir your egg yolks, add a little of the hot mixture to them to temper them, add them back to the pan and cook for 2 more min. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Pour into serving bowls and chill. Vanilla pudding!!! You can also make chocolate by increasing the sugar to 1 cup and adding 3 T. cocoa powder.

  • Make a yellow cake. Make custard, as mentioned above and you can also add coconut and a pie crust for a pie. Make homemade pudding. Make a lemon filling for the cake,
