BM's - Might be TMI

My body feels like I haven't had one in like 3 days, but I had one this morning. I took a stool softener last night (only one, and the directions said 1-3), I took another 1 this morning...I feel like I am backed up. What can I do?

  • Drink more water and eat some roughage/higher fiber foods.

  • Eat foods high in fiber: green garden salads, mini wheats, oatmeal, etc.

    Personally (and this may also be TMI, lol) I can eat a Zaxby's salad and have to go in a few hours.

  • Stool softeners are not "habit forming" so you can continue to take them morning and night for a new days. But really you should look at tweeking your diet to improve the quality of your BMs.
