1 Bump

Do you wash or sanitize your hands...

after you change a diaper. I have noticed a lot of people don't. Which makes me wonder, if you wash your hands after you wipe yourself why wouldn't you after you wipe a kids butt?

  • I do. It became a habit when my kids were babies, then I go a few years without having to change diapers and the habit just kicked back in when my cousin had her baby. I know some moms don't wash their hands because usually you don't get any pee or poop on your hands but honestly I wash my hands mostly because I don't like the feel of the baby wipes on my hands.

  • I always washed my hands after changing a diaper. I've seen women change major poopy diapers and then go eat their lunch without washing. GROSS.

  • If I'm home I wash my hands before and after every diaper change. If I'm somewhere there isn't soap around, I'll use hand sanitizer that I keep with me 24/7.

  • No more diapers for us, but when mine were still little enough, I washed at home and sanitized if a sink & soap weren't avaiable out.

  • I always wash my hands after changing my granddaughter's diaper. Ick if you don't!
I had a thing of sanitizer next to her changing area, but it just felt like I was smooshing the germs around. I just didn't feel "clean" until I used actual soap and water...lol.
