What is a good brand of fondant, a tasty one?

And can I kneed in flavorings to a bad one, like you would kneed in color?

  • My sister has a great marshmallow fondant recipe she uses. I'm not a lover of fondant no matter the brand but I really like how nice it makes a cake look.

  • Satin Ice tastes ok. You can buy it in different colors, or you can add gel coloring to white fondant.

  • you can make your own with mashmallows. you can knead your own into your homemade fondant. it doesn't really help it with the taste : )
i would be afraid of overworking the fondant if i added flavoring to a pemade fondant.

  • I don't buy, I make my own, but I've heard that Satin Ice is the best tasting brand. You can knead colors and flavorings in to suit your needs; I also believe pre-made fondant comes in different colors.

  • Make your own! Google marshmellow fondant. Tastes way better than any store brand stuff.

  • making your own gives you more control over taste and texture. . . some store bought can be harder to manipulate. . . note you can always add coloring and flavors

  • I agree, MMF all the way. Wilton's is the worse!

  • I usually make MMF, but Satin Ice is decent (although expensive).
