stuck with a story

written about a woman that most would love to hate-
circumstances bring her into a relationship with a man she can't have.

I already killed off his wife so to speak-
she only exists during the flashbacks.
can't decide if she runs off into the sunset with the lover or if I end it with her doing the right thing & staying with the wonderful man she doesn't really love,
or have her go off for a independent life alone.
perhaps a combination of a few of them............

any suggestions?

  • LOVE this!!! So where are your other characters? I think she had someone on the premiter throughout the entire story very much like her. They have met here and there briefly in your story. Days, weeks or months go by after the collaspse & she bumps into this guy, sparks fly and they live happily ever after!!!!

  • I think an independent life of her own. So many women these days rely on a man to keep them happy when they could do better on their own. Maybe this would inspire them. Plus the happily-ever-after novels are a dime a dozen. But that's JMO.

  • BTW, I'm not saying ALL women should lead independent lives from a man. I'm happily married and can't picture myself any other way. But some women WOULD be better off alone than with the men they choose.

  • She could go off on her own at the end of this book - which leaves it open to another book, one where she either ends up with "the perfect guy" or the guy she's with now - he could realize what she needs out of life and come chasing after her... IDK. I'm more of a crime/mystery type so...
