I saw someone call herself point whore in a question. Why would she do that and doesn't she think it is degrading to herself?

Do you think it is offensive?

  • nothing anyone says about them selves will offend me. That's their opinion of themselves. If she wants to degrade herself that's her business, as long as she's not degrading ME I don't care

  • No because I know how to take a joke. I've called my self a bitch before.... and your point is...... ?

  • I see people do that all the time. They call themselves a "whatever" whore. And people say they are "pimping" things like their profile. Personally, I DO find it offensive. I was taught at a young age what "whore" and "pimp" is and I don't want those words associated with me. But I agree with the Cochise that that probably consider it "silliness".

  • No, I don't find it "offensive." Like another poster said, people call themselves all kinds of "whores."

  • I've called myself a point whore before. Why would it be degrading? It's not like I'm taking myself to some street corner to get some points!

  • I saw that question, but didn't read the whole thing. Why did she, I guessed that she was frustrated with the point system. Personally I could care less. I interpreted 'point whore' as meaning she was hooked on gaining points.
