  • I am very open to other's opinions. I have my opinion and you have the right to yours. I love debating with others, but only if they understand that personal attacks are not ok.
I usually avoid political debates on this forum because it seems that there are many who do not understand this.
Just because my opinion is not the same as yours does not mean you need to call me ignorant, or anything else. It also doesn't mean you need to vote my answer down.
My husband and I belong to opposite political parties. We debate politics all the time. But we understand that you discuss the issue, not each other.

  • Yes, there are some people who post their questions in a way looking for the DRAMA, when I see their name next to the question, I pass by it.

  • If it becomes heated drama or someone is being bullied and called names, I just move on. By that time, they don't care what answer someone else may have. It will always go back to whatever squabble is occurring. Luckily things seem pretty tame in this section for the first time in months.

  • Sometimes. There are days when I know I'm in a more sensitive mood and I just don't have the patience that I usually have. On those days, I either read and don't post or just don't read at all. Some topics are automatic drama creators, regardless of who starts them and under what intention, so those are usually best avoided after the drama starts.

  • I just avoided one such question...the one about the gay marriage ruling..because if you don't support gay marriage, you get BASHED big time. I've even had people follow me to other posts and pick a fight about those topics. So there are a lot of people who SAY they respect others' opinions, but I don't think they mean it.

  • I noticed, might be the no annonomous answers, people tend to be less brazen when they have their face on an offensive answer lol
