Do you believe men should be posting in CafeMOM.

There is a DADCAFE, would you post there?

  • No, I don't think they should. CafeMom is for moms or moms-to-be. Mom = female and Dad = male. And I don't post on guy websites. I'd rather be here anyway!

  • it says CafeMOM and not CafeDAD for a reason

  • No. I think the only reason i think a man should be on here is if (god forbid) their spouse died in childbirth and needed advice or if the mother bailed(sadly, it happens). A new and single father needs all the support he can get. Yeah, they have the DAD version on CafeMom, but he might need some female advice.

  • No

  • Yes, I do. I don't believe that Mom & Dad are necessarily denoted by gender alone. There are lots of men in the "mom" position for one reason or another... Single, Gay, Widowed, or just SAH men are all playing at the mom role as much if not more than they are the dad role... Don't they need the same advice? Or the same outlet? A site like this for dads wouldn't work, there aren't enough dads out there that need that support because they are mostly DADS, but those who are wearing the MOM shoes need just as much support as the rest of us moms do.

There are some "parenting" social sites but they aren't as good as CafeMom...

  • why not dads have parenting questions too...there are some single dads with legit questions im sure...but i dont know of any daddy websites...ive seen some pretty raunchy questions on this site so i dont think a man can come up with any worse...

  • Um i don't think they should cause this is a site for us ladies to chat and ask advise. And sometimes its about girl things they we wouldn't want to discuss with a guy.
