  • I have given my son a bath every night since 2 weeks old , he is 13 weeks now. he has slept thru the night since 5 weeks old. I think the routine helps him sleep. I fill up his bath with just water and fill up a small container with soapy water and a washcloth to clean his face, neck and bottom. I always use the soap watered down, not directly on his scalp or skin. He is 18 lbs and has alot of rolls, the rolls would be stinky and sore if not washed every night! He also sucks his fists all day and woulnt want to go longer than a day He never had dry skin,I always lotion him up really good after!!

  • I used Ivory with all my kids or squirted Johnsons or similar in the bath. I didn't bathe my children every day unless needed though bcause 2 of my 3 did have really dry skin, but if yours doesn't go for it! Babies love baths!

  • Use soap? Doesn't everyone use soap? Of course I use soap and my son gets a bath most nights.

  • he may not have dry skin yet but bathing him too often can cause his skin to dry out. Its better to bathe him a couple imes a week. instead.

  • I think a bath before sleep is calming. Just use lotion after bath to help prevent dry skin.
