What is a good front facing car seat?

Hubby bought our son's first two car seats and now he is going front facing and hubby says I get to pick this time. He told me to try and get one that turns into a booster seat. I am sooooooooo confused, lol. Isn't it sad that I have never bought a car seat before? Anyway, what one should I buy?

  • I love my graco nautilus.  It is front facing with the shoulder straps until 65lbs and then can be a booster (with or without back) until 100lbs.  If you live in Michigan where a kid needs to be in a booster until 7 or 4'8" it is a great investment

  • I looked at those but the only one I could see that turns into a booster is almost $300!

  • That one looks really nice! Its still kind of pricey but I think its worth it but I will double check with hubby when I get a chance.

  • I also have a Graco Nautilus. It has really great reviews. We haven't used ours yet though, since my daughter is still rear facing, but google it and there over 1200 reviews.

  • How old is your child? Its safer to rearface until ATLEAST 2yrs and 35lbs. Joelsjourney.org is a great website with alot of info about rear facing. If you are adamant about forward facing, My 6 year old is still harnessed in the Graco Nautilus. Its a great seat.
