  • I've started throwing those Tide Stain Release tablets into the wash- I don't really rely too heavily on detergent for the smell. I let the softener handle that. (Meyers Clean Day in Geranium OR snuggle brand blue iris with bamboo silk smell AMAZING) Before I started with the stain release caplets, I would "shout out" stains and wash and STILL have to rewash. After I used the Tide tablets, even grass stains were coming out on the first go round. :)

  • We only use Seventh Generation or Clorox Green Works, but if you don't use green products, Gain is great!

  • Earth Friendly Ecos; I throw in vinegar if something is really smelly, and baking soda and peroxide if something is really stained.

I get a bottle at Costco for around $12 that lasts about four months.

  • Tide is pretty great. Or you could just use a stain remover and fabric softner....

  • Mela-Power and Mela-bright - work great and are safe for you and the environment. These are delivered directly to your home and are more economical than store and national brands. Please let me know if you would like more info.
