Nail polish on little girl

Is there any reason to not allow a 2 year old to wear nailpolish? And I don't mean "ethical" more like is there a danger to her because she's exposed and it's all chemicals?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

  • I only put it on my daughter's toes because she is my little thumb sucker :)

  • Hee hee...I'm painting my toenails right now. I don't believe so, but there is non-toxic nail polish in case you're worried.

  • It's not at all dangerous. Even if she sucks on her thumb it's safe. I asked my doctor the same thing when my DD was a toddler.

  • My 4 yr old just ask'd me to do her nails.'.. I think when the babe is old enough to NOT put her fingers in her mouth she's ready.

  • Conventional nail polishes are really too toxic for humans, especially small children.

If you must use them, please use them outside.

lol..ya I can see that really working out well.  Get a two year old to sit still to get her toes painted outside....  We've all been using it for years, I'm sure it's fine.  My little nieces love it when I visit and do spa day for them ;)  Enjoy the girlie time!

  • Yeah, it's not like her tiny little toes take that long to do. I'll crack a window but there's no way I'm carting twin 2 year olds outside and trying to get her brother to stay where I can see him and her interested in sitting still while he plays!
