  • I guess....but not really. You can still get pregnant while breastfeeding. Some are more likely than others to.

  • I am not positive ,but im pretty sure it is not! i have known a few people who got prego while breast feeding , so i would say no!

  • My four year old is proof that it is NOT!! I was exclusivly bf my DD and got pregnant with DS.

  • I wouldn't risk it. My cousin didn't get pregnant with her second & third little ones until after a year of exclusively breastfeeding, but my Grandmother's friend was exclusively breastfeeding & found out she was pregnant at her 6 week check-up!!!!! There are safe types of birth control to go on while you are breastfeeding. I'm on the Paragard IUD, it is hormone-free & I've been nursing my daughter for over 7 months now.

  • Some women do not ovulate until they start weaning, but a lot of women will. I am one that still has regular periods while breastfeeding, which is strange because I have PCOS and don't have periods at all normally...go figure!
