Pop/crack sound coming from the baby??????

I'm 37 wks and 3 days.....and this happened with my first pregnancy as well....
I'm sitting here, and the baby is moving consistantly and i'll hear a pop/crack sound and I can kind of feel it at the same time that I hear it. Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone know what the heck it is? Could it be the baby's bones popping/cracking???

  • Is it when you get up or move positions? This sort of sound and feeling happened to me and I understood it to be my pelvis positioning when I described it to my OB. I highly doubt your baby's bones are breaking. Even if the baby had brittle bone disease, which I am sure she doesn't, you wouldn't be able to hear it.

  • Does it happen when you're sitting still and/or moving?

  • thats like a hiccup.. hotrodmomma .hmmm You might be onto something there.

  • Wouldn't there need to be air in there for it to pop when thumbsucking??

Sometimes the 2 layers of amniotic sacs will rub together, like two rubber balloons... but I had expected that would happen more when Mom was moving. Since it's happening when baby is moving maybe it's this, anyhow.

  • I did with my first, mention it to the doctor that is, and to be honest I don't remember what he said.....i'll definitely ask him when I go in to see him next, but thought maybe one of you girls would know! it's just really weird to me!
