Entertainment or education...activities for children

I am conducting research on the various enrichment programs offered to the early childhood group. As a parent which program would you sign your child up for:

1) Music: Piano for preschoolers
2) Math/Science: Lego inspired
3) Language: Spanish immersion class

Thank you

  • Spanish - they are sponges at that age for foreign language. They aren't embarrassed to try new sounds yet.

  • Another person off line told me "why would I want to learn my nannies language?" Maybe I am being judging but such an ignorant comment.

I actually think that lego inspired enrichment class for the older kids (6-13 would be more interesting for them than Spanish). For children 3-8 I would say parents should jump at the Spanish immersion and Piano as those increase brain development so the long term benefits are greater.

  • Spanish Immersion! Though I guess I'd let my child choose, and she'd probably choose something different...Legos maybe?
