Education or entertainment...activities for your children

I am conducting research on the various enrichment programs offered to the early childhood group. As a parent which program would you sign your child up for:

1) Music: Piano for preschoolers
2) Math/Science: Lego inspired
3) Language: Spanish immersion class

Thank you

  • All of the above, but piano would have to wait until elementary school.

  • i would sign them up for all three! i love music, and its great to learn how to play a piano. math and science are the too areas i always struggled with, so i would love to have my child start understanding those areas at an early age and learning spanish would be great because it offers more job opportunitys to people in there adult life being bilingual.

  • The only one of those I would put my kids in would be the Lego one. I don't feel teaching Spanish is a good thing, and I hated being required to learn piano when I didn't want to do it. I can only imagine my boys would like the legos though...

  • Music - my girls love music, they both want to play guitar but learning piano first would make it easier to learn guitar.

  • I don't feel teaching Spanish is a good thing because this is AMERICA, we speak ENGLISH here! And if I were going to teach my children a second language it would be one that would actually do them some good - Japanese or German... Something that will help them job wise. How does Spanish help? Never in my life have I met someone that speaks Spanish, on the other hand I have met people who speak Japanese and German quite a bit.

  • Piano would be my first choice, although they all sound good to me.

  • What's going to get kids interested in learning is "Edutainment".  Learning should be fun, not boring.
