In Gen 6:1-2 it says: When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.
And then in Gen 6:4 it says: The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.
So, who are these "sons of God"? Are they angels? If they are angels, what do you think of this? I didn't think angels could have sex with humans?

It's a nice, cheesy way to explain away the 'old gods and heroes' of ancient times and to place the Hebrew God at the front. It encompasses the Pagan Gods in order to make them more accepting of the 'new' religion.
