  • we have had both and rats are VERY VERY smart, you can train them and they actually behave more like a dog

  • A rat, my neice has one and it's so friendly. It follows her around and sits on her shoulder. If something scares it, it hides under her hair. But, I don't really want either one (even though my kids do).

  • A rat. Less apt to bite and they are really friendly. Both my sister and I had one when we were little.

  • Mouse. They just seem less scary to me. I'm not particularly scared of either but there's just something about a rat which creeps me out a little. *such a wimp*

  • A rat. They are less stinky from what I understand. I have had mice and they are VERY stinky.

  • A rat!! My DD has a rat. I've had lots of rats as pets over the years. They are tamer and easier to keep as pets!
